Air travel with aneurysm

I have an aneurysn in my iliac artery and have extensive travel plans in two months..Is it safe to travel ovewrseas with this condition?

II am re-posting my comment to Babe719's question as it is similar to yours -

I would definitely discuss with my neurosurgeon and get his opinion.  Mine was an unruptured 8.5 ICA annie and I had to cancel my planned flight based on advice given by my doctor. Of course, it has now been successfully coiled and I posed this question to my NS again and he said, "I don't see why not". I assume by flying you mean in an airplane?  It is important not to be far from good medical care if you are going on holidays so if you are flying to some exotic location, I would think twice.  Also, there might be an issue with air pressure.  Definitely get your doctor's opinion.

I would agree with crisP above.  Once the annie is fixed I too would not see a problem with flying or "most" other activities.  Change of atmospheric pressure especially dramatic changes could present problems.
