Ascending aorta aneurysm

I have an aneurysm of the proximal ascending aorta. Maximum short axis diameter is 4.8 cm.

Would like to know if there are any weight restritions or lifestyle changes I should be aware of. Currently I am laid off from my factory job. My main concern is if called back, should I be careful of lifting limits or other limitations? The only thing I got from my doctors is to not lift over 25 pounds, and to start a walking program.

I started step walking about two weeks ago. My baseline is around 1500 to 2000 steps a day. I have been trying to get in at least 4000 steps daily. So far meeting or exceeding that goal. Also, I am 5' 8" and weigh 230 pounds. I gained about 60 to 70 pounds since quitting smoking about 2 years ago.

Any information you can offer would be appreciated.

4.8 is a bit large.  You should take it easy.  No weightlifting.  No extreme exertion.  Click on my screen name "nickppatel" and look at my replies to other people on this forum about the latest drugs and research available for this condition (although you are at or soon approaching the surgery threshold and might not be a good candidate for this treatment).
