Hellos I was diagnosed with a 3.7 mm annie on my middle cerebral artery, Im having a brain clipping in two weeks. the surgeon told me it was above my left year close to surface and it was smooth? Can you please tell me what this all means? I havent asked any questions to my surgeon . I was such in shock that I stayed quiet. Thank you
I know you must be in shock. Actually you can consider it as good news where aneurysms are concerned. If the aneurysm is superficial then the surgeon does not have to touch more of the brain tissue. This means less complication to face later on. Also, if the aneurysm is smooth with no cross connections and irregularities, it is easy to clip it. Wishing you all the best for your surgery and speedy recovery! Take care!
