Difficulty Walking

My Mom is having difficulty walking - pain, cramping and numbness in her legs and buttocks.  She is 62 y/o and can only take about 6 steps before she has to stop and rest.  She has had a a full cardio workup - stress test, u/s of heart, doppler of legs Doppler shows mild to moderate PAD.  She has also been to a back specialist - MRI showing mild degernative disk disease and calcification of the aorta. She has been to a neurologist -EEG shows some nerve irritation.   Her father died of an Aortic Aneurysm.  Two of her sisters have had to have stints put in because of the same symptoms.  However, all the docs say that these results would not cause her symptoms and this is not something he would consider treating.  We are so frustrated and do not know what to do next.

Healthy eating and starting a physical exercise training program would be very helpful.  A physical therapy center that specializes in cardio-training would be preferable given your Mom's history.  But do try and encourage her to start exercising.  It can be reversed or minimize the annoying symptoms.  Good luck and God Bless!
