I had a craniotomy in 2000,I had a sub arachnoid haemorrage from an aneuryism.I had a clip put on the aneuryism.I live in Australia so I'm not sure of the rules in other countries,I was in hospital for 10 days I didn't worry about a wig I just went out bald,I wasn't allowed to drive for 3 months, 6 weeks after surgery I had to go to rehab to have some tests done, 2 days as an out patient.A lot of memory tests, comprehension, basic math, spatial perception, and an IQ test,I had no paralysis after surgery so I didn't need any help with that.My main problem at first was forgetting the names of everyday things or mixing words up,But by 6 weeks everything was fine and I didn't need rehab.I wasn't working at the time but I think it would depend on the type of job you have as to when you could go back and how you recover from surgery everyone recovers differently-Best of luck with the surgery and positive thinking is the most important thing, listen to and do everything the doctors and nurses tell you and recovery will be easier.
