Maybe a Doctor will make a better argument then I but the MRA I believe is a Magnetic Resonance Angiogram, whereby a dye is injected to analyze an aneurysm in greater detail.

The MRI which you had is the gold standard for identification.  CT scans are for folks that cannot have a MRI or have had a bleed.  CT's  are quicker but MRI's have more detail.

I believe you got good information from your Neurologist, so try to relax, you'll be alright.  As for the pain you may need a nerve conduction study to determine the source.  It's possible that it is something impinging on the trigeminal nerve.  I wish you well and feel free to ask any additional questions.

Surgery to look under the hood would be the surest way but the least safe, so yes, MRI's are the best way to diagnose most things in the human body.  I witnessed many case on the bad side so you have great news to celebrate.  Say a prayer for those who were less fortunate.  Enjoy life!
