Post Bleed Patient

I am a post bleed survivor.  In November 2013 I suffered from a ruptured pica aneurysm.  I underwent surgery where the aneurysm was clipped.  I am 39 years old.  Since the surgery, I am always tired, but I know that this is part of recovery.  My question is, are the other symptoms normal.  I have shooting pains in my head. Some days they are in the back of my head, some days they are the top of my head.  There is no rhyme or reason.  I feel dizzy often and my head feels very heavy.  I have a "woozy" feeling in the back of my head a lot.  I compare it to feeling like a fish is swimming in my head.  I feel a lot of pressure in my ear on the same side of the incision site and pain at incision and skull entry site.  I have spinal pain around my neck.  My face and extremities often tingle and go numb.  Are these normal?  I worry that I may be ignoring other warnings.  Is all of this normal?

Hi Nicky,
Thanks for your response.  I have had a problem scheduling an appointment with my surgeon due to insurance issues (Doc said pay all upfront costs or have insurance before we schedule).  My insurance cancelled one month prior to my bleed.  Timing was awful to say the least!  I was recovering and don't even know where I was when open enrollment ended!!!    I am normally a very responsible adult and am not really sure how I let all of that happen.  Anyway, I have been trying not to give in to my fears.  I am afraid that my anxiety of a re-bleed are making my symptoms worse than what they really are.  I am trying to be tough!! LOL
I am amazed that you have been diagnosed with aneurysms for 18 years. I would worry constantly that they would burst.  I am sorry your experience with your doctors was unpleasant.  You must have an awesome prayer circle and I will add you to mine.  I pray all remains well with you and only healing comes your way. How old were you when you were diagnosed?

Hi. Wow, sounds like r handling a lot..what does your neurosurgeon say about your symptoms? I would start by calling the surgeon or at least someone who works in his office. I hope u have not tried them already and they r not helpful.
I would think any manor of symptoms r normal after the bleed and surgery. I have had several , still intact, aneurysms that I have known about for 18 years approx.  when I first found out about them I did plan to have surgery, but stuff happened during a pre-op angiogram and I lost confidence in the docs and hospital . I have many of the sx u have.... I also have MS. Even if u have called the surgeon please call again. They should be offering some answers to your questions.!  Good luck. God bless. Nicky
