flying after a brain bleed

We are in the process of moving from the US to another country.  When we arrived at the airport to make a conecting flight my husband had a brain bleed.  It was between lobes so it did not cause noticable damage.  How long must we wait before he is capable of flying.

Hi!
Generally the area of the bleed in the brain takes about 4 weeks to heal. Hence doctors usually advise patients to wait out 4-5 weeks before flying, to avoid a re-bleed due to increased cabin pressure in airplanes. However, I would advise you too to consult his treating doctor before making a decision. Situations may vary from patient to patient, and it is difficult to assess these things on net. Take care!
