multiple aneurysms

I was recently diagnosed with, among other things, a small brain aneurysm and a small aortic root aneurysm.  Has anyone out there experienced this and were you able to figure out the underlying cause(s).  My diagnoses are only weeks old so my doctors are still trying to get to the bottom of it all.  Thoughts?  Thanks in advance.

There is a theory that certain types of aneurysms go back to embryonic development.  These aneurysms are thought to belong to the neural crest defect category of embryonic anomalies.  At a very early stage of embryonic development, before the head and chest differentiated, there was some type of connective tissue defect in the area of the neural crest.  These types of problems most likely are genetically mediated.  Research is ongoing.  It is not uncommon for people who have a thoracic aortic aneurysym to also have a brain aneurysm, because the problem in embryonic development that caused the aneurysms was something that happened at the neural crest stage -- while the part of the embryo that later developed into the head and chest was still one structure, the neural crest.  That is how I understand it, anyway.  You can google neural crest to get more information.
