Hi Nicky,

I got your message and you are right.  There are newer materials vs 17 years ago.  The good news is that EEG Neurofeedback is available in case you would develop headache like pain.  The reason for the pain is that the brain just plain and simply doesn't like anything else by it that God didn't intend for it to be there.  The EEG Neurofeedback (especially the LENS system - developed by Dr. Len Ochs) seems especially effective at getting to the deeper areas of the brain.  This system has been a God send for my wife as she keeps getting better.  Keep me posted on how things are going.  God Bless!

I tried to message u last night but it didn't work! I first want to say I hope your wife continues to have reduced headaches!
I saw the neurosurgeon on Monday . He was happy to see me after 17 years. I would think maybe he was surprised neither of my aneurysms had popped. Next step is a ct scan, 8/7. He will meet with his team and make a plan. There r now flexible caths and other materials to fill aneurysms. Not sure if some may be not metal and therefore may cause less of the issue you wrote about...metal not being accepted by the body. Also another surprise was my MS doc was looking @ MRI FROM May, 2013 asked me if I knew I have a Meningioma ?? Well, no I do not. MS doc + neurosurgeon say Meningioma  is most often slow growing, not malignant, and nothing to worry about. OK, I can wait till the scan before freaking out. I am supposed to have a tooth implant and the metal of that has me thinking of body rejecting it. I am buried in information and dealing . Any words of wisdom to share? Thank u. Nicky

Hi,

Is the fioricet prescribed for you by a Doctor?  If so then it would be OK.  This med won't be a long term solution however.  There isn't much info to go on such as the type of surgery (clipping, coiling, etc.) you had so I can't help much there.  As the spouse of a  clipping survivor (21 years) I can tell you that you need to keep trying to get the pain under control by trying to find the trigger for the pain.  One of my wife's success for pain control was to start something called EEG Neurofeedback.  The neurofeedback helps the brain neurons and central nerve system find normalcy.  The reason for the brain to become out of sync is to complex to discuss in a few sentences.  Keep going back to your Doctor or Neurosurgeon but keep in mind that you will be referred to a Neurologist or pain management center at some point.  If you have any other questions feel free to ask.
