Double Branch Block

I have just been informed I have "a Bundle Branch Block" in my heart. The consultant tells me its nothing to worry about.
It shows on ther ECG so I am concerned. Will it affect me in the future? Is it a precurser to further heart complications.
I am 67yrs of age and just starting to enjoy life.

Any information will be appreciated.

Regards

Even with the diagnosis i know it sounds scary however it is actually a pretty common occurance for literally thousands and thousands of people. In a nutshell it means that there is some sort of defect of the hearts electrical conduction system which can be bare bones minimal with people requiring no treatment what so ever in their lifetime with no limitations at all.  You have to remember on an average day the human heart beats over 100,000 times in a 24 hour period so if something were going on with our hearts it is pretty much pushed to the surface because of all of the wear and tear our hearts go thru.  If you like your doc,,,,,,trust your doc.....know he/she is a good doc....the answer is simple...move on with your life and no it doesn't mean that it will become progressive at all...but the final diagnosis has to come from your own doctor who knows your complete medical history and i would ask them exactly that....and then in closing i would ask them is there anything that you need to look out for and what do you do if it happens...just to be sure...but it is a pretty common occurance believe it or not.....
