Heart Disease

I am a 43 yr old female with chest pain that comes and goes.It will even go up to my jaw and around my back.  On a scale of 1-10, it is about a 6 or 7.  It has gotten a little worse over the past few days. I had a stress echo done a couple of months ago. The echo was fine but there was a little change on my EKG. I believe it said EKG showed some ST Depression while I complained of chest pain. Dr. sent my to have a nuclear PET scan and I guess those results came back fine. I had a 0 calcium score which Dr. said was great. I do have anxiety and panic attacks, but usually the chest pain is what make me panic!!And the shortness or breath! I am 5'3" and weigh about 120. BP is usually 107/72( usually low). Pulse ox has always been 98-99. Blood tests were fine. Just wondering if I should quit always worrying about this being cardiac in nature. Any advice would be welcome.

I personally don't think its ever good to become complacent when it comes to chest pain and breathing issues.  Granted all of your tests have come up negative but that is why heart issues are sometimes called the silent killer because of just that reason.  I am not saying that this is your situation its just that you don;t ever want to take chances with matters of the heart.  Personally my advise to you would be to go onto the American Red Cross or American Heart Association sites and read up what the symtoms (symptoms) of a FEMALE heart attack are just to be sure that you aren't having any of those earmarks.  Issues with our hearts many times will come and go which is not such a great thing because we get too comfortable and if you have ever had anyone in your family suffer a heart attack at age 50 or less you are in a higher risk group .   Some of the symtoms (symptoms) that you have mentioned also follow pace with mitral valve prolapse as well......i would just seriously be aware of what is happening to you and if in doubt make the call to the doc or head to the E,R, because only you know your body and if your symtoms (symptoms) are physical in nature someone needs to take this a step further and in checking you out..  If you are prone to anxiety attacks as well as panic you could be taking this to the next level where it doesn;'t need to go because we all have overactive imaginations.....i would just keep an eye on it.....
