on a recent ekg the p-r-t axis numbers were  60 degrees 36 degrees and -2 degrees...what does that indicate?
Avatar_dr_f_tn
Hello and hope you are doing well.

The normal range for PRT axis is -30 to +90. The axis is determined by which direction the electrical signals generated by your heart are travelling toward the leads of the EKG.  There is a axis for the atrial contraction, ventricular contraction and ventricular repolarization.  This is giving the axis to each component. Your numbers are 60-36-2, which is abnormal. This has to be correlated with other values in the EKG.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
