There are varying degrees of heart failure and yes one can live a healthy life with having it. Heart failure also known as congestive heart failure has a lot of componets to it. So many things come into play with it and there are lots of things a doc can do to help the patient. It doesn't mean that it will be progressive and is treatable with meds as well as other options. The big thing is to find out why it is happening and to try to find a solution for the person who is going thru it. There are so many things that enter into this arena....with heart failure comes a very specific percentage that docs will place on the event.....
