It is also know an allergic bronchitis.  

Asthma symptoms include coughing, wheezing, excessive panting, exercise intolerance and other upper respiratory symptoms.  Avoidance of asthmatic triggers are also very important.  Each asthmatic has their own individual triggers.  Dust mites, perfumes, cigarette and other smoke, molds,  and many other environmental allergens can be triggers.  Once the triggers can be indentified they should be avoided,  if possible.   Avoidance of allergens can be daunting but there are many very effective medications available to control asthma currently.
