HELP!! After spending the day yesterday trying to find a VET that would allow a payment plan or at least wait till my next pay(2wks). I have found nothing in my area. My cat continues to vomit. He still eats healthily and still is drinking normally. But within 2 or 3 hrs its vomit time. And it is really stinky!!!
Is there anything I can do or give to my 16 yr old cat that will help him until I find a VET for help? Like people meds or electrolytes or whatever?
Vomiting in cats can be caused by many different things.
Diabetes is one cause that is high on the list. Please bring him to the vet and have him checked for diabetes ASAP. Other possible causes include: inflammatory bowel disease or other digestive disorder, gastrointestinal parasites, food allergy, constipation and anal gland problems, gastrointestinal neoplasm, and others. Only a vet visit and appropriate diagnostic testing can sort this out.
Probiotics and digestive enzymes and anti-parasitic medication may be all that he needs, but the vet must make that determination.
