BUmp on my puppy's tummy.

My husband and I just recently bought a Bassett Hound from a breeder/friend of mine last week. She turned 6 weeks old yesterday, and I noticed this morning she has a bump that resembles what we would call a boil right next to her private area... She hasn't shown any signs of odd behaviour, she eats well, and I am taking her this Thursday for her first shot..(Parvo).  I don't want to mess with it incase it is something major, but I was just wondering if anyone else had seen this before? And should I do something immediately, or will she be okay for 2 more days for when I take her to the Veteranarian's Office? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It could be an infected bug bite, or a skin infection from a variety of causes: mites, fleas, flies.  I am glad that you have taken her to the vet.
