Cat threw up 5 times in one night

hi i woke up at 4 in the morning to my cat of 1yr vomitting . As i was cleaning it up i saw that there were  4 more vomit areas . When I came home earlier tonight i also noticed that before she had pooped she had a tiny little bit sticking out of her butt What can i make of it? Should I send her to the vet or just see if it passes and she doesnt vomit anymore?

I remember my cats tended to do that when they had a hairball problem. There's a tasty paste at the pet store to deal with hairballs. Does your cat have long hair? Do you brush your pet often?
