Chronic Vomitting in a MN Persian

Chronic Vomitting in a MN Persian

Let me start by saying that I am a Licensed Vet Tech but I am stumped by my cat.  Our treatments in my clinic include everything I've tried, and nothing has helped.  So I thought I would try the herbal/holistic route, hoping that this is what Odin needs.

I have a MN Persian (6yo) named Odin.  No weight loss or gain to speak of.  He has started vomitting about 2.5 years ago.  In the beginning I changed foods/treats around, but in the end, put him on Prescription Diet z/d dry.  It has worked great for 6.5 months.  This summer he has started vomitting partially to not-at-all digested food on a average of 3 times per month.  It is my belief that a cat should not vomit ANYTHING other than the occasional hairball.  The vomitting has not become more frequent, but now he's started with the soft stools.  He is dewormed on a regular basis and is shaved most of the year...no hairball problems in the winter.  Are there any herbs or natural remedies I could try to help with his vomitting?

Try "Stomach Happy", available at Dr. Xie's Jing Tang Herbal Company.  Jing Tang only sells to veterinarians but since you work at a vet's you should be able to get a prescription.
