Fleas

I have 3 week old kittens.  The mother as well as the kittens have fleas.  As all OTC flea products say do not use if cat is nursing or kittens are under 12 weeks what steps can I take to rid them of fleas?  I bathed mother & kittens in antibacterial soap & washed all bedding but that is very temporary solution.

Capstar can be used in kittens 4 weeks of age and older.  So you only need to wait one more week.  Until they are old enough mechanical removal by combing and washing is all that you can do. Brush the mother and kittens daily to mechanically remove newly appearing fleas.
