Herbal Heart remedies in conjunction with Pharmaceutical Meds

My dog started having the fainting spells and her health deteriorated at the end of August.  I rushed her to the ER and was told she had an enlarged heart and was in congestive heart failure.  Took her to her regular vet who recommeneded a cardiologist to find out exactly what was wrong.  Went to the cardiologist and was told she had a node blockage in her heart and the only alternative was a pacemaker.  I am unable to afford that so they have given her drugs to make her comfortable.  Enalapril 2.5 mg every 12 hrs and Lasix 1/4 tablet every 12 hrs.

First couple of weeks the fainting spells were occuring every half hour if not more.  Vet suggested decreasing the Enalapril which didn't work so put her back on the original dosage and she finally snapped out of it and became this bundle of energy running and acting like a little pup again.  This has been the case since Sept 18th till currently.  She has a great appetite and everything is working digestively.

After doing some research for herbal remedies and suggested diets I have found that Hawthorne is good for heart conditions.  Found a tincture containing Hawthorne, Gingko Biloba and garlic made for dogs with heart conditions.  The brand is Apawthocary that produces it.  http://www.onlynaturalpet.com/product_detail.aspx?item_guid=4731A39B-9FC4-40CA-A4EF-235D3DB63A82&click=6875&mf=2
Also found another supplement containing CoQ10, L-Taurine, L-Carnitine, etc for heart health.   http://www.onlynaturalpet.com/product_detail.aspx?item_guid=DA183FEE-1353-4210-9B54-58AC4BE14F04&click=6875&mf=2

I asked my vet to review but they are not knowledgable on herbal remedies. Therefore am curious whether these supplements are ok for her to take and if these can be taken with the meds she is currently already on?  Or can she only take one or another?  Any help and advice you can provide is greatly appreciated.
Thank you

There is no contraindication with the supplements you have mentioned and your dog's heart medications.  Co Q10 and Hawthorn are especially great for the heart.  Additional supplements: Magnesium along with calcium 50 mg each twice daily, and Vitamin D3 500mg and K at 1 mg.  are also heart healthy.

Additionally,  the common Chinese Herb,  Dan Shen is a very good adjunct for the heart and is found in the herbal formula: Fu Fang Dan Shen Pian, available online.  The dose for the human form would be 3 teapills twice daily or one capsule or pill twice daily.  There would be no contraindication with the this herbal formula and your dogs cardiac meds either.
