It is either Retained Spectacles which is fairly common, or an eye infection.

You may be able to remove the retained spectacle by yourself if you have a very gentle and steady hand.  If you don't feel comfortable performing this procedure please have a veterinarian perform it.

Use a magnifying glass.  You will need contact lens hydrating drops for dry contact lenses, or you can use artificial tears.   Place these eye drops in the eye with the retained spectacle every few minutes until the eye is open,  than continue to place the eye drops in the eye until you see a part of the spectacle lose it's adherence to the eye.  It may take an hour or so.  Please be patient.  You can then gently dry the eye surface,  and,  with a piece of scotch tape wrapped around your finger, you can very very gently touch the spectacle.  Hopefully it will be loose and it will adhere to the scotch tape.  If it still won't come off continue with the eye drops a bit longer.

If it still won't come off, or if the eye will not open, your gecko may have an eye infection and you will need prescription eye drops and a visit to your veterinarian.
