Is This Normal for Kittens?

I had taken in a stray kitten, she seems to be about 4 to 5 months old. She has adjusted great and is a very loving kitten for only being with us for 10 days. The first question I have is on the left side of her neck there seems to be a small like piece of skin that is about 1/4 inch long. What could this be? The second question I have is when i rub her tummy and keep my hand there I feel little kicks, when I place my ear in the same area it sounds like crackling noises. Is this normal? And what is it that is causing this.

As far as the skin question goes, it may be a healed wound.

The belly in a cat can overlie part of the lung field.  Crackling noises in the chest signify bronchitis or pneumonia, or possibly feline asthma.

Kicks in the abdomen have me baffled unless she is older than you believe and is pregnant and very soon to give birth.

Please take her to a vet for definitive answers to your questions.

I know she could not be pregnant, The best I can describe the feeling is like pop rocks exploding. I hope this helps, please advise to what it could be. Can you feel worms even though there is no signs of worms. She is very  healthy and playful and runs around a lot, she also has a very shiny coat and seems like a very normal kitten.
