Miniature Daschund with large nipples

My dachshund is almost 1 year old. She went through her first heat about 1 month a half ago and her nipples are still quite large. She doesn't secret any milk from them, but when I feel her belly her milk ducts feel swollen. ANy idea what this is or if it is normal. I have only had males before her.

It sounds as if your dog is under going pseudocyesis which is a false pregnancy.  It occurs from hormonal stimulation due to a heat cycle.  A false pregnancy can occasionally resolve on it's own, but it if not, your vet can prescribe medication to alleviate the situation.
