My kitten (5mos)walks like he is walking on eggshells

My 5 mo old kitten walks like he is walking on egg shells. He wobbles sometimes when he walks but he is playful, just seems like he is not coordinated. Has been like since he was small. He seems very healthy otherwise.I can't afford lots of money for Ct scans etc.
I have had lots of cats and never seen that before. He doesn't seem to  eat much but has huge feet and seems to be growing well. He was treated for ear mites but that didn't seem to help him. Any ideas?

He may have cerebeller hypoplasia which can cause the wobblyness you describe.  There is no cure for this but they can have normal happy lives with the problem.  Inner ear infections can cause equilibrium problems, which can be secondary to ear mites.  He may need multiple courses of the proper medication (Milbemite or Tresaderm with added ivermectin), to rid him of the ear mites.  During the course of an annual exam or when he is in the vet's to get neutered perhaps a neurological exam could be performed which may provide additional information, in lieu of a more diagnostic CT scan etc.
