Pink Tooth

Hello,
I just brought my two year old female Bernese/Shepherd home from the vet yesterday.

Her lower right canine tooth had taken on a pinkish - purple color from less than 10 minutes of chewing on a nylon bone.  She is in no pain that I can tell and eats fine.
He didn't see any overt break and put her on clindamycin for 14 days. I was instructed to watch for infection and she was caught up on all her shots and had a general wellness check up.

Can anyone tell me what will happen next?  What will happen to her tooth and what happens after the antibiotics are finished?  Any tips on what to look for?  I sure don't want her in pain.

Any information would really be appreciated.
Thank you.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
A good quality dental Xray will reveal the health of the tooth.
If the Xray is normal then I would monitor the tooth at home or swelling or bad odor.
It may be from trauma and will remain a normal tooth for her lifetime.
