Pug Puppy

Dear Doc,
My pug She dog delivered three pups two days back. The 2 females are fine but the only one male was the last tobe delivered. He is weak. We tried to make him suckle mothers milk but he could not do that. we gave him First age milk by Royalcanine. But his sisters are picking up fine and have become somewhat strong also. While his head keeps drooling sideways and he falls aslep while drinking milk. Plz help doc as I believe life is precious and i would like to save him under any circunstance. His stools were normal and urine okay.

I would bring all of your puppies and the mother to the veterinarian.  The vet will be able to determine the cause of the problem.  If the weak puppy missed his colostrum he may have failure to thrive.  The mother's first milk is called colostrum and is essential to for development of the babies healthy immune system.  Your veterinarian may be able to supply your puppy with this essential substance.  I don't know if First Age Milk is quite as good as the real thing.  There may also be some congenital problem aflicting your puppy, Some congenital problems can be addressed and some cannot.
