Reactions of Expectorants

Mitzy she was given expectorant and antibiotic for an infection on the neck glands .
She has been breathing very fast and vomiting a lot , is this normal? I am affraid she dehidrates she looks very week
Is there any other type of medicine less harmfull

I'm sorry to hear that Mitzy is having difficulties!  She sounds very sick.  

I am afraid I can't answer your question directly, though.  Yes, it is possible that she's having a reaction to the medication and isn't tolerating it well.  It is also possible that the rapid breathing and vomiting are signs of progression of the problem that she had before.  Also, without knowing exactly which medications she's on, I can't tell you if the signs you're seeing are known side effects of that particular medication.

My best advice to you now is to take Mitzy back to the vet, and tell him or her about the new symptoms that you're seeing.  You should be able to discuss the medications as well as consider any further testing to gather more information about her condition.  Regardless of the cause (medication reaction or progression of disease), it sounds like Mitzy is definitely not doing well, and she needs to be re-examined soon.
