Skin Tags

My dog got a skin tag years ago and when taken to the vet he said not to worry about it but recently they have been popping up all over and he now has dark spots all over his belly, should I start to worry that he may have skin cancer or should I listen to the vet and not worry?

Dark spots and pigmented dermal masses should always be biopsied just in case.  Skin cancers are very common in pets just as they are in people.
