Skinny Pig - Multitude of Problems

Hi there,

I have a 3 year old Skinny Pig. In 2009 he was diagnosed with severe pododermatitis, and received very expensive surgery to correct it. The surgery seemed to work for a litle bit, but after he finished his antibitotics, it returned. The vet claimed there was not much else to do.

We have managed to keep his feet under (somewhat) control, and he does not seem to have much trouble with them anymore (not much bleeding/rupturing).

However, he has now developed some new issues. He currently is not able to poo by himself. I read up about this and discovered it's impaction, a common problem with guinea pigs. However, I am quite worried because even with regular cleaning and removal of the impaction, everyday, he keeps getting skinnier and skinner. I know skinny pigs must eat their own feces to get nutrients, and that my skinny pig obviously isn't, because he cant poo. Is there any solution for impaction so that he will be able to poo regularly and get his nutrients?

Also, he has over the last 2 days, developed a large cyst like bump on his face. when I touch it, it doesnt seem to be painful for him, but I'm worried.

I can't really afford to take him to a vet, and I'm worried that he's just getting sicker and sicker :(

Any advice would be appreciated!

Please post to pet community.

He obviously requires a visit to the vet.  If money is a concern please apply for care credit.  Care Credit is a low to zero interest credit card which can only be used for veterinary or medical care.  An application can be optained at most vet clinics or online.

Ok, so my skinny pig has now developed another concerning symtpom.

He now has, what I can only describe as, past-like green feces. It's not quite "runny" like diarrhea, but it is not solid pellets even in the slightest. When I picked him up this afternoon, he had feces all over his butt and back legs, and when i tried to clear his :impaction" it was all paste-like and would not come out.

I would really really appreicate any help/ideas about what might be wrong with him...

Thanks!

Update

I took him to a vet, and unfortunately, the best option was to put him to sleep.
