Vet. bills

My beloved Beagle, Bailey, has a Hernia. When I adopted her I was not aware of this medical issue. Though I loved her from the start i don't think it would have mattered. However, when I found out about the problem was when we got her a check up and I was checking to see if she had been fixed. That's when they noticed. I knew i was going to get her fixed and there are many places that will do it for a low price, but this adds a new outlook. It will cost $400-$500 to get her Hernia fixed and they will spayed her at the same time. But i cannot afford that on my own. I am  full time college student and my grants have been delayed so I am low on funding. it is not a pressing issue the vet. said she is not in paina nd it won't bother her. So just save up and get it done. But now it is always swollen and she is in heat. So, I feel her Hernia is the reason she is more distant lately. She doesn't want me to touch it. She quickly leaves when I do. A bunch of organizations are out there but most of them have so much critiria that I don't fit into. She is not the correct breed, she does not have an illness, i am not a senior or a child. i just cannot find one to help me. If you have anything that would help please let me know. My email is ***@****. Thank you.

There are various local shelters, charities and perhaps certain vet schools that may be able to provide support.
