Why will my cat not eat at home but will eat each time of being hospitalized?

I have had Bandit home since Fri., Mar. 4th at Noon. So far he is eating and I am NOT placing him to stay at night back in that dog cage and intend not too ever again. I am worried and concerned that Bandit now has the association between being placed in the dog cage at night and not eating. Friday night we had a no sleep night due to all of his vocalization on and off but Sat. night was better less vocalization and once he is here at home for long enough hopefully he will regain his normal routine of living again! Can you shed some light on as to why Bandit would not want to eat at home but each time of taking him back to be hospitalized that he would eat? Thank You very much for reading all of this in its entirety. Paula

I did not know how to make my question with explanantion as to what led up to my question any shorter in length and it would only allow 2000 characters to be written at one time so that is why for the 3 posts all about my cat named Bandit.
