allergies

My poodle seems to be congested and her nose runs .. She also will snort like she has a short nose at times almost like asma because she seems to loose her breath almost.. it doesn't last but a sec..I believe she is suffering from allergies.. She doesn't have a fever or seem to be suffering .. She plays all the time ,very happy.. Is there any over the counter allergie medication that she can take.. thx !

If you see your vet and rule out any respiratory disorders, then allergies may be the problem. Chlorpheniramine maleate is a mild antihistamine and works well to relieve runny noses and mild congestion.
