my yorki maggie has had a bad eye for two months her eye keep clouding over then this white sticky discharge comes out, we have taken her to the vets, were it cost us hundred and twenty pound, as we had to take her twice, her eye is still no better, we have been cleaning her eye everyday we have taken her to two diffrent vets, her eye is still no better.
While ophthalmology is not my strong suit, this sounds like a case of dry eye (kerato conjunctivitis sicca). Any dog seen at my hospitals with chronic red eye or chronic discharge needs a schirmer tear test done, and a tonometry test to assess for glaucoma. Both of these conditions are serious but can be managed once theyre properly diagnosed.
