calcium chloride and urinary tract infection

can injestion of less than toxic doses of calcium chloride cause a urinary tract infection?
she definately had increased thirst and increased urination volume and frequency.

Thanks for your question!  

I don't think I can see calcium chloride causing a urinary tract infection, as such.  It can be caustic and cause a significant irritation of the esophagus, stomach and intestines, but it doesn't directly affect the urinary system.  

The increased drinking and urination, though, can fit with a urinary tract infection, among other things.  It looks like you've already had a urinalysis done, and a veterinarian diagnosed a UTI?  How is that going so far?
