cat tick

cat tick

I just removed a seed tick from my cat's eye, I used a little erythromycin and the tick released. He had a little blood that I used a cotton tip to absorb. I used a magnifer and do not see anymore of the tick. I was told that the tick will inbed it's head and release it's body. The lid is a little swollen. Do I need to worry about this? I plan on buying the frontline that I have read on this MedHelp site to treat my cat. I await to hear your response and thank you for your time.

I am sure you removed the entire tick.  Seed ticks don't embed very deeply.  Your cat's eyelid will be swollen for a few days.  Infection is very rare.  Please get the Frontline ASAP to avoid further infestation from fleas and ticks.
