cold in kittens eye

I realize that cold in the eye requires antibiotics and the eye area  to stay clean I have been keeping the eye area clean and dry with a warm damp cloth What I would like to know will a triple antibiotic cream be okay to use and if so knowing the cattail juice from the stems are a natural topical antibiotic can I use this

Please only use sterile ophthalmic medications in the eye!!  

The eyes on a three week old kitten are very fragile and contaminants from non-ophthalmic triple antibiotic cream and other preparations will sting very painfully and only make the eyes worse.  Please bring her to a vet to have her eyes examined and the proper prescription treatments given.
