dog has sores
my dog has 2 sores on his front left leg, right where it bends. it started off grey open wound, now has gotten hard, no hair, black, bloody and is discharging fluid. is going to vet this week for biopsy. any idea what this may be? my vet has no ideas.

They do resemble acral lick dermatitis.
Does your dog lick them often or constantly?
If they are acral lick dermatitis's your dog has caused a secondary bacterial infection there. I am glad that you are taking your dog to the vet next week. A biopsy will give you a definitive diagnosis.

he does lick them constantly - after the biopsy i will be switching vets - because if they have no idea - they must not be good at there job - as i have done the research to try to figure what this is and they said it doesnt look infected.
