eating his poop

my sister in law owns this dog and she cant get him  to stop eating his pooh!The vet  gave her some drops to put on his food but thats not stopping him . Any suggestion would be much appreciated

If your sister has not tried it yet she should place one tablespoon of Adolf's Meat Tenderizer, or Accent Meat Tenderizer in her dog's food every day for 5 days or so.  These tenderizer products contain monosodium glutamate and will cause the dog's poop to taste horrible.  

Other treatment possibilities: 1.   The Chinese herb: Huang Lian or Lian Huang (Coptis Powder) is an extremely bitter, non-toxic powder.  Your sister could sprinkle the powder on the poop and hopefully the bitterness will deter the dog.  2.  Red Hot Chili Pepper Sauce could also be placed on the poop.

Unfortunately, some dogs will tolerate the most horrible tastes and continue to eat poop no matter what.  Sometimes probiotics added to the dog's food will help stop poop eating.
