mistaken dosing regimen /flagyl sedation?

the cat has been improving
getting playful but still lower than normal energy hes not vomiting anymore
I made a mistake and was dosing the flagyl once a day for 2 of 5 total
today day 3   I gave it to him in the morning and now he"s less active[ if the two are connected]
I hand fed him a good dose of hills a\d gave him the pepcid  and he went to the bathroom  and also has produced a solid stool

if he continues being less active could it be from the bid dose of flagyl
what  symptoms should I pay particular attention too in his vomiting diarrhea recuperation and medication

I am glad your cat is getting better.


Higher than normal dosing of flagyl can cause neurological symptoms.  If the flagyl is very high it can even cause seizures, but at a slightly higher than normal dose it might cause him to be less active.  But his decrease in activity may only be coincidental.

Once he is better please place him on a grain free canned only food.  No dry food!
