perforated by foxtails

perforated by foxtails

My two year old male pit has foxtails stuck between his toes and I am unable to afford surgery.  He has received pain-killers, antibiotics & a solution to soak the two paws in.  Is there anything else I can do?

The foxtails really must be removed.  Sedation and a local anesthetic should be all that  is necessary to remove the foxtail awns.  I don't think surgery would be necessary.

If they are not removed they may become encapsulated and will form either draining tracts or abscess's, which WILL require surgery.
