PLEASE PLEASE HELP - MY RABBITS EYES ARE SWOLLEN AND RUNNY AND HER GENITALS ARE A BIT SWOLLEN SHE IS 2 1/2. I TOOK HER TO THE VETS YESTERDAY THE VET CONFIRMED THIS AND CHECKED HER CHEST AND TOOK HER TEMPERATURE AND THESE WERE BOTH FINE. SHE SAID IT WAS UNLIKELY TO BE THE BIG [M] BUT WHAT ELSE COULD IT BE SHES BEEN GIVEN SOME ANTIBIOTIC MEDICINE

I certainly hope that your vet is correct and that it is not Myxomatosis.  If your vet feels that it is a bacterial infection than it may  be one of several bacterial infections that have the same or similar symptoms as the deadly viral infection, Myxomatosis.  These infections include the bacterial infections: Pasteurellosis,  E. coli, Clostridium perfringens and type E enterotoxemia.  A culture and sensitivity or biopsy could help determine which of the bacterial infections your rabbit has, but these may be costly.  

Antibiotics may have to be continued for 6 weeks or more for Pasteurellosis for a complete recovery, but she should show improvement much sooner than that.  Don't discontinue antibiotics too soon just because she is improving.  Please use the antibiotics for the full course.
