possible ear mites

my cat loves to be petted,but seems irritated when her ears are touched.could this be a sign of ear mites? if so,how can i treat her condition?
can you recomend a good worm medicine and how long should i administer it to her?

It could be ear mites, or a yeast or bacterial ear infection.  Have your veterinarian do an ear smear, and ear cytology to identify the culprit.  Many ear infections are mixed infections.  Tresaderm ear drops with a drop of added ivermectin is could for a compound infection, i.e. mites with bacteria or yeast.  If it is just mites than Milbemite is best since it requires only one application.
