tar on cats paws

my cat has tar in its paws how do i remove it

Tar is an oil based product, so a non-toxic oil will help to dissolve it slowly.  

Place a generous amount of olive oil or other edible oil on the tar and gently rub off with a soft cloth.  This is very slow time consuming process but will work eventually if your cat allows you to do it.  Once the tar is off wash the residue off with a gentle soap and rinse.  

Please don't use turpentine or other toxic substance on you cat.
