Amber,
Thanks for coming to medhelp.org.  Unfortunately tension in the stomach is a non- specific diagnosis.  My best guess is that this is your veterinarians way of describing your dogs problem in layman's terms.  It would be helpful to have more information.
How long has your dog not been eating for?  Does she have vomiting and /or diarrhea?  Is she loosing weight.   What recommendations has your veterinarian made to resolve this problem.  If your dog is otherwise healthy and this is a mild sudden onset problem your veterinarian may recommend a temporary diet change.  If this is a more serious problem they may recommend other diagnostics like blood tests and xrays.  With more information I may be able to help you better.
