I have a 7 year old Dutch Dwarf bunny. I noticed a couple of days ago that her left eye was a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys runny. Yesterday her eye got worse. It is still goopy, and she is very sensitive to light. Her eyelidEyelid bump Eyelid lift Eyelid twitch is swollenSwollen glands and sometimes she wont even open it. I was wondering if this could have been caused by something that got in her eye or if she may have bumped it. I was wondering how should i treat it???? please help! she is herself completely. she does not squawk and she is eating and drinking. I have been cleaning the eye with sterile water. what else can i do?
If she has conjunctivitis ( an inflammation or infection) she'll need some meds to heal it up. It shouldn't be a problem to contact your vet and pick up a tube of eye meds.
