Questions in the Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge Eating Forum are being answered by Dr. Patricia Pitts, PhD, a Clinical Psychologist from The Bella Vita Program - CA.
A young woman who is in residential / inpatient treatment - and desperately needs it - doesn't have the money for the insurance co-payments, which run aprox $160.00 per day. ( x 30 - 60 days - we're not sure yet.) Once she's out, she'll have the expense of all the follow-up care (MD, individual therapist, nutritional counseling, group.) Where are people getting the money to pay for treatment? Are there any resources I can contact to ask for financial aide?
There are still a few organizations that offer healthcare or medical loan for those seeking medical/psychiatric treatment. Try researching different medical loans online to see if there is one right for your needs.
