Trying to gain weight

Hello
I am a 19 year old girl.  I am 5 foot 3 inches and weigh 110 pounds.  I am very petite, small girl.  I am trying to gain about 10 pounds.  But everytime I eat, the pounds or the (fat) goes only to my stomach.  So, now I have like a small pot belly.  Why does the fat only go to my stomach?  I would like it to go to my arms and legs.  Is there any way the pounds can go anywhere but my stomach?

Thank you for your time

It can be hard but that must be your body. Mine goes to the top of my legs. I want my hips to grow.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Dear Sara127,

Do you know what weight range your body naturally goes to?  If you are malnourished or gaining weight fast, it can all go to one area, especially the stomach.  After a while, it will redistribute to the extremities or other parts of your body.  Sometimes individuals will tone their body and eat certain foods to get more the look they desire.

You could always go to a registered dietitian to help you in your weight gain efforts.
