need help

I posted several weeks ago about my situation. Im 18 years old and my average weight was never above 117 but ever since i was about 15 my mormal weight was 115. I got to a point recently where I stopped eating and would only consume 500 to 600 calories a day and would work out 5 times a week pretty heavily to lose weight. If I have anything to eat...which i normally dont....that is fattening or makes me feel terrible about myself I will throw it up. A month ago I weighed 116 and now I am a little under 105 I think. Food consumes every thought I have and I am to a point where I have so much discipline that I can resist it. But I think it may be in a bad way...because most days I have around 900 to 1000 calories left on my alotted calorie intake. Do I have a really big problem?

From what you have described, I would suggest seeking help. You can go to our website at www.thebellavita.com from more information on the different types of eating disorders and to take a free online eating disorder survey. This should help you figure out what kind of help you will need. You can contact us at 818.585.1775 24/7 to speak to our intake coordinator if you decide to move forward with treatment.

Peace and Luck,

Dr. Patricia Pitts

Yes you do.  If you dont get help soon it may get more out of control then it already is.

Please talk to your mother if you have a good relationship with her and discuss options and if you dont please go see your doctor right away. Hopefully you get the support from your parents.
