recovering anorexia and starting to binge eat

I have struggled with my eating disorder for over 30 years now.For the past 3 years I have been working very hard at recovery.I had a relapse last January and started refeeding about 2 months ago.I am in therepy and see my doctor for blind weights once a week.My main problem now is that I have started to binge eat.The way I feel after is very triggering for me.I try to journal or busy myself or try to sit with my feelings instead of eat but I just cant control the urge to eat.I always crave desserts.I wish I could just stop this. Will it go away when I reach a normal weight?I am 5'6 and have weighed between 90 and 105 pounds for the past 20 years or so.I am 43 now.I would guess I weigh about 100 or 105 right now.I dont know for sure as I no longer look at the scale. This binge eating terrifies me.Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated.I am so upset about this.
Thanks for reading : )

Hi Amnvin,

Congratulations on making the decision for recovery, and trying to utilize coping skills in times of trouble. This is a huge accomplishment. From what you are describing, it might be wise to enter into a higher level of care. It  During the process of recovery it is important for you to have a support system that can help guide you through meal times and after. I can totally relate. I am a recovering Bulimic and for the last year I have been binge eating.  It stresses me out because I dont want to do it but I feel like I have no control.  I dont know why I do it.  Difference is I crave salt.  I am not sure if its because I am deficient in something or because of hormonal reasons but whatever it is its contolling my life.

The only thing for me to do is get help now for the binge eating.

You should do the same.

good luck
